Tour with the band without leaving your couch: the ultimate list of new rocker romance in 2019

posted in: Various Musings | 2

I am so happy and so lucky! I have so many friends I’ve met online because they started as readers—and they are huge rock star romance readers! Several of them have clued me in to authors or books that I’ve missed while putting together these lists. Thank you to everyone who contributed. LaDonna of Backstage Blogs sent me a HUGE list. So once I’ve caught up to present day, I’m going to go back through all the old posts and add all the books she reminded me of.

I say that because if you find something I’ve missed, please don’t hesitate to let me know. You won’t hurt my feelings. I don’t want to hurt another author’s feelings if I’ve missed a book (or a hundred)—and I know I have!

Anyway, enough of that! Let’s get to our list of the rock star romance books that were published in 2019!

(Oh, yes…and this is one of two years where I didn’t publish a rockstar romance book since I started indie publishing! I wish I could give you a solid reason why! For argument’s sake, let’s just say I was on hiatus.)

  • Never Fall in Love with a Rockstar, Rachel Higginson – I need to take a moment here to talk about something near and dear to my heart. First, let me say, I love the cover on this book because it’s quite different and striking, but the designer got something wrong that a lot of people (including some rockstar romance authors I know) do. The hand with the index and pinkie finger out with the thumb extended is NOT the metal devil’s horn sign. It is NOT a rock sign at all. Instead, it’s an ASL sign meaning “I love you.” The rock sign (the “devil’s horns”) is the index and pinkie finger out with the middle and ring fingers held down with the thumb (creating “horns”). Sorry, but this is something that drives this metalhead crazy and this just so happened to be the moment when I snapped. 😉 I still like this cover, though! (If you don’t believe me, you can look it up!)
  • Jersey Six, Jewel E. Ann
  • Exquisitely Broken (Sin City Tales #1), M. Jay Granberry
  • Crossroads (All the Things! #2, Forsaken Hearts #1), El DuBois and TJ DuBois
  • Rory (Brothers Ink Tattoo #4), Nicole James
  • This One’s for You (Lone Star Lovers #8), Taylor Holloway
  • The Heart You Break (Wilde Ways #4), Cynthia Eden

A huge thank you to my fellow rocker romance writers for picking up my slack (*wink*). You’ll see my comeback in 2020! 🙂

If you haven’t already, check out my posts ranging from 2011 on. After I nail down all the years (including pre-2010), I’m going to organize the lists in other ways. I think I’m obsessed now.

Stay tuned!
